Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering (DSCE) is an autonomous college founded in the year 1979. Admission to the B.E. courses is granted based on CET and COMEDK conducted by Karnataka Govt. Admission to M.Tech. courses are done through the counseling process after qualifying for the entrance test conducted by VTU. Students having valid GATE scores will be given first preference in the counseling process. The selection of candidates for Ph.D./ M.Sc. (Research) courses is done through the ULRAT entrance test conducted by VTU.
Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering offers B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, and MBA programs at the undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate levels, as well as a Ph.D. Candidates for admission to the DSCE must pass common exams administered by national and state organizations, such as the GATE (General Aptitude Test in Engineering), COMEDK (Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka), and KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test). The placement for the years 2023-24 is still in progress. The year 2023 experienced a decrease in placements compared to the year 2022, and the 2024 process is still ongoing. Dayananda Sagar Institutions has a placement cell that coordinates with top recruiters and handles the overall recruitment process. More than 100+ recruiters visit the institute every year for Campus Placements. The institute has also signed an MOU with above 30 Companies to help the students with Internships/Projects/ Industrial visits / Placements/Research. There have only been 414 offers made for the 2023–24 batch thus far, and the full data is still pending.
